About the Founder
Monique Levy’s childhood ritual of throwing up change from the store and yelling “to the poor” showed her heart from the very beginning. As a young adult, in 2005, she began to develop her Human Service background at Innterim Housing Corporation, where she discovered her fulfillment in helping other women. She helped the Executive Director plan activities and events for the displaced residents. In 2012, she founded the organization Led Ladies and hosted their first workshop, “You’re a star,” discovering self-worth at Hannah Moore Emergency Shelter. She continued to enhance her skillset in 2013 in Annapolis, Md., at the Community Action Agency, where she assisted families with emergency energy. Years later, in 2015, she relocated her vocation back to Baltimore, where she serviced her community in the capacity of rental and energy assistance.

Monique has overcome many obstacles that young lady’s face and uses this organization to offer a hand to pull out and redirect lives. She exercises a lifestyle of meeting ladies where they are.
